There are no prerequisites for taking this course and the material can be understood by mature people of all ages. \nThe NRA Home Firearm Safety Course is the basic course we recommend to anyone unfamiliar with guns or who needs to learn firearm terminology and safe handling. \nIt is valid for LTC and FID. \nIn this four hour course students will get the NRA’s Home Firearm Safety handbook\, pamphlets on safety and terminology and lessons on the rules of safe gun handling\, identifying and unloading various firearms\, ammunition\,  cleaning\, and storage. Students will also get hands-on experience with the most common types of handguns\, rifles and shotguns. Massachusetts Laws Pertaining to Permit Application\, Firearms Storage and Transportation \nNRA Home Firearms Safety and NRA Basic Pistol courses fulfill the Massachusetts State Police LTC Basic Firearms Safety Course Requirement Certification LTC-007 for FID Cards and LTC’s. You will receive the Massachusetts State Police Certificate needed for the application process and an NRA Certificate\, both suitable for framing. \nLENGTH: 4 Hours

DESCRIPTION:This live fire qualification session consists of shooting an Army-L target at 25 yards. You will have 30 rounds to score a 195 or better. After obtaining your license\, Rhode Island will allow you to carry whatever caliber you qualify with\, as the maximum caliber you can carry. We recommend you qualify with a large caliber. \nWe will also supply you with the application and all necessary paperwork and help guide you through the process. \nPricing is as follows:\n$85 if you bring a firearm and ammo.\n$140 if we supply firearm and ammo. \nWe will provide the range time\, army L targets\, hearing/eye protection if needed.\nWe will provide a copy of the RI application as well as affidavit form. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Students will receive a certificate for this class \nPlease let us know if you need us to pick up ammunition for you.\nAmmunition used\, if bought for you\, will be charged at market price.\nPlease have a credit card available for ammunition payment the day of the lesson. \nWe schedule these lessons according to when the range and instructors are available as well as your scheduling needs. \nRange lessons are designed to fit your personal firearm needs. Sometimes its just an hour to go over how to care for your new gun\, or to find out how to get those groups a little smaller. This class can also be used to test out a firearm prior to purchase\, a recently purchased firearms or for more advanced lessons. Maybe you are interested in trying several different types of our firearms to get a feel for what you are comfortable with before a purchase is made. These range lessons will give you the individual time with one of our instructors at a range\, to work on your firearms goals and needs. \nWith range time you can chose to use our guns or your guns and work on exactly what you need/want.  Ammo is always an extra charge. \n  \n
